4 – New dinnerware
My husband and I will celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary on December 12th. With the money that’s been pouring out with the construction of our new kitchen, I wasn’t really expecting a fancy anniversary gift.
I was more than mildly surprised–and very, very pleased–when he came home from work today with a new set of dinnerware. He said he was choosing between a Christmassy design (which he really liked but figured we’d only get to use for only a few weeks each year) and this one.

He read the specifications and, after discovering that this one was microwave-safe AND oven-safe, well, the decision wasn’t too tough to make. I love the design. And I especially love the fact that they can go straight from the oven to the dining table.
