Basil and garlic toast
November 19, 2009 • Hello. I am currently out of the country and unable to respond to comments and e-mails. Rest assured, however, that future posts have been scheduled so new recipes will go live almost everyday during my absence. I'll be back soon with lots of stories and photos. Ciao for now! ~ ConnieWhat a morning! No one woke up to the blaring of the alarm clock. It was 7.00 o’clock when my husband was roused by the honking of the school bus. Darn, and the kids were still sleeping soundly. He sent off the bus and we woke up the kids. He would have to drive them to school in 15 minutes flat so they won’t be late for the first class.

Not enough time to fix breakfast for the kids. In fact, not enough time for them to eat. They’d have to make up for it with their morning recess. But, not too late to fix something for my husband and myself. He’d come right back home after dropping off the kids so he could shower before leaving for work. So, while he was out, I prepared the butter that I had been thawing all night to make some basil and garlic toast.

can i keep the butter at room temp??
Hi Ms. Connie! I’ve been doing garlic butter for a long time na and I almost always have stock in the fridge for the times na nagccrave ako for toast… It takes me forever to mince my garlic so what I do is grate it using a fine grater. (Just a tip for the tamad like me
)… I’m soooo happy to see that you’ve used dried herbs… I’ve been looking for ways how I can use my dried herbs… Is it ok to use other dried herbs? What do you suggest po na masarap i-substitute? My dady recently sent me garlic salt, so is it right for me to assume that it’s very much ok to use for this recipe?
