hi, here's the souvlaki recipe (it's obviously not authentic (soy sauce in greek food?), but it tastes very, very good. hope you'll try and enjoy it.
1 kg. pork tenderloin- cubed 2"
1/4 c olive oil
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 lemon, juiced
2 t italian seasoning ( the original recipe calls for 1 t dried oregano)
2-3 garlic, crushed
salt and pepper to taste
Just marinade the pork in this mixture overnight. Throw in cubed bell peppers and quartered onions to the pork marinade as well.
when ready, grill in stove top grill. the recipe said use skewers, i don't anymore but, for better presentation, thread the pork alternately with the bell pepper and onion.

serve with tortillas ( village gourmet) and this amazing sauce-
1 c sour cream
1 small block of feta ( not mainland, the Arla? brand, it's blue, around php 130+, mas mura sa s&r)
1-2 garlic, crushed
just cream together this three and season with salt and pepper to taste
Masarap talaga ito...pag kumain ka sa cyma, i-compare mo if halos pareho. very close in my opinion.

yes! i've been trying to locate a topic on greek food...i love feta, cucumbers, olive oil etc. have you tasted the souvlaki at cyma's shangrila? i tried duplicating it at home and it really is very close...if you want, i can share it with you...i don't want to impose since i am unsure if you would welcome the idea. thanks!
