So, how many ways can you make mashed potatoes?
Well, I have four great ideas, they’re all in the Tastebook and it’s available starting today.

But read on first.
I know that there was some confusion when I first made an announcement about the Tastebook. Some readers are expecting a physical launch with book signing. I’m sorry to disappoint you. All of that is something for the near future. The truth is, there aren’t too many good publishing deals available in the Philippines. It’s like I do all of the work and National Bookstore will earn more than me. So, I decided to hang on to my manuscript and, right now, I can only offer you my Tastebook. Know, however, that I still want a cookbook with my name on the cover on the shelves of bookstores so I’m looking at other options.
Tastebook has its own system of publishing and pricing. You will have to register to order a copy of the Tastebook. I highly recommend that you familiarize yourself with the system to get your money’s worth. There are customization options and you can even add more of your personal recipes to the Tastebook that I have created at no added cost.
I’m supposed to be entitled to give away a copy of the Pinoy Cook Tastebook — I’m still waiting for the details. I dispatched an e-mail several days ago and haven’t gotten a response yet.
That said, click here to view the Pinoy Cook Tastebook and to order your copy.

Hi ms. connie, Happy Birthday!! I already browsed Pinoy Cook Tastebook, (been waiting for it the whole morning
) Its really cool, I surely would like to get one, but as you said I have to familiarize first with the system, like adding more recipes to the tastebook and have it personalized. Thanks so much, para ka na naming kasama lagi sa pagluluto thru your tastebook. More power!!
Hi Ms Connie. With the release of your Tastebook, I want to greet you a happy birthday. I pray that the LORD will bless you more in the coming year. May you also continue to entice and inspire us with more recipes. You just don’t know how much I admire you as a person. I am so glad I found your site…:)

CONGRATS!
Happy Birthday!
Will do my copy soon.
Thank you! Another year older hehehehe
Hello,
Happy Birthday Ms. Connie. Thanks for sharing your knowledge in cooking to us.
More Power…. God Bless.
Hi Ms. Connie, this is my first time to leave a comment here, but I’m one of your million followers. Sorry for not leaving any comments before. I’m very interested about this Tastebook of yours, how can avail this? I’m here living in Japan. Please tell more about how to purchase this, I’m just confused. Thanks a lot and Happy birthday to you. God bless you.
congratulations miss connie! happy birthday!
Happy birthday! Congrats for the book!!
A few years from now, I’m also dreaming of publishing the book. But I really don’t know the process of being published. (the dirty work, the commissions, who should we approach etc) Could you give us some advice regarding this? Btw, I am dreaming of making a graphic design book – do you think it’s feasible?
Thanks much!!
Hello,
I happened to find you when I was in desperate search for a pochero recipe. I was hooked and have been an avid follower since of your posts. Very inspiring and great work!
I just finished browsing through your Tastebook and I must say (in my honest opinion) that I am a little disappointed with the pictures – choices for the cover and pics on each tabs. I feel that the choices for the cover does not in any way relate to a ‘Pinoy’ cookbook. You have a picture of salmon for the Fish & Seafood section however if you look inside you cannot find the recipe for that dish. Same for Meat and Poultry, Desserts and Treats, Soups and Salads and so on. The pics that accompany each recipe is beautiful. Why not use it?
Thank you,

Happy Birthday Ms. Connie! And congratulations to your tastebook…
Thanks to all of you.
Anna, Tastebook.com does not allow Tastebook creators to choose personal photos for the cover and sections. There are pre-installed cover photos to choose from and no choices at all for the section photos. So, that’s that.
If I had a choice, the layout of the pages itself would have been different.
Since you had already browsed the book, I wish you had browsed the “how it works” part (I recommended it in the entry above) so you could have been less misguided.
And it’s not a Pinoy cookbook. You said you already browsed the entries so that should have been clear. If it were a book about Pinoy food exclusively, I would have called it Pinoy Cookbook or Pinoy Recipes or something like that. It says Pinoy Cook because the author — me — is a Filipino.
Hi Connie!! Thanks for your wonderful recipes. I hope you don’t mind, I tweaked your burrito recipe to suit my love for cheese and tomato and posted it on my blog.
Gave your website the proper credits though, since I would be at a loss if I didn’t follow how you made yours in the first place.
Happy Birthday, Ms. Connie.
And Congratulations.
Dear Ms. Connie,
I’m one of your avid fan and I love your recipes.
I just want to know, whether you’ll accept orders from the Middle East. I’m in Kuwait and I would love to have a copy of your Pinoy Cook TasteBook.
Thank you and more power…
Emmy
Saw it already, Icey, and it looks delicious!!
Thanks, Soloops.
Emmylou, please check the Tastebook shipping page. As far as I know, they ship worldwide although shipping costs vary.
hi ms. connie, just wondering how will you earn in this tastebook? will you get a royalty of sort? thank you.
Thanks Ms. Connie,
BTW, Happy Birthday!
Jet, how is that relevant to you?
Thanks, Emmylou.
Happy Birthday & Congratulations!
I’m an avid fan of your blog. Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes. I just placed an order for 100 recipes of your Tastebook. I’m looking forward for more of your recipes to be added to the Tastebook.
All the best,
Pam
wow! a cook book with your name on it… astig talaga! congratulations! uy, haberdey ulit ha!
Hi Ms. Connie,
This comment is not about the Tastebook, I just dont know what appropriate entry should I submit my comment…
I was browsing your archive list a few minutes ago, and I was able to open it. But when i tried to go to the other page, I was surprised that there was a Warning from Firefox reporting this site as an attack site. All other entries cant be explored either, Ms. Connie. Except here.
I read why it was blocked, there are many reasons listed and there was one where it states that in some cases there might be third parties adding malicious codes to legitimate sites, thus showing the warning message and recommending the site’s owner to review their sites.
Hope I was able to help in some ways coz I always explore your past entries and look for dishes that I can prepare. Thanks!!
Thanks, Jinky. I got hacked over the weekend and we’re still cleaning up. Asar, sobra.
Your welcome Ms. Connie. Talaga lang, mga walang magawa sa buhay. Naiinggit lang ang mga yan, household name na kasi ang websites mo..:-)
Hi, Ms. Connie!
belated happy birthday!
i thought i’m the only one who cannot access your site. i was warned by avast that your site has malware.
Cheers!
Jinky, I hope it’s okay now? I manually went over each and every file and there were scripts injected in the footers.
Thanks, Phynkee. So the site is fine now?
yup, well and good!
kaya naman pala nagka ganun… Was so inis when i cant get through… kala ko nasira na fon ko… I am using kasi my fone in browsing para save na kaagad for further viewing… at least now its ok…
Thank goodness, it looks okay. I hope the problem does not recur. Kainis. Instead of blogging, I stare at all these codes looking for signs of trouble. Grrr.
Ms. Connie its me again, ganun pa rin. I can browse your site maps pero if i’ll use the explore button ayaw pa rin
.. (I did not browse the net last night, but in the late afternoon blocked pa rin sa pc ko)
the archived posts are working already Ms. Connie, thanks much!!!
hey connie, great work!
i wanted to order one but found out that the cost of shipping internationally is 128 dollars per tastebook! and the book itself just costs 35 dollars.
why is that?
Hi Ms Connie,
I love your website so much.. was married for two years and I’m a total disaster when it comes to cooking. But these past few days, your recipes and tips are my kitchen and budget saviors
I got hooked with your site.. even if I’m tired from work and I have maid to ask to cook.. I now find myself spending much time in the kitchen trying your recipes…and yeah my hubby is lovin my cooking.. you’re a blessing.
Happy birthday and keep doing what you’re doing! You’re great!
Thanks,
glendz
Well.. actually..i’ve been checking your site after work for the past two weeks now.. I tried your menudo, chop suey, eggplant with oyster sauce, baked mussel…and will try pulvoron and bistek this weekend. I will have to look for more recipes in your site in preparation for Xmas and New Year. Pinoy cooking really rocks! Keep sharing! Thanks :;
Tastebook.com fixes the prices, Glenz.
Belated Happy Birthday, Connie! I’d love to order your tastebook. Do you ship internationally, by any chance?
I love the idea of “dressing up” mashed potatoes. My favourite one calls for adding roast garlic and whole grain mustard to the potatoes (in addition to the usual milk and butter.)
Thanks, Marie. Ordering details are in Tastebook.com. They deliver globally.
Hi Connie,
Better late than never. But Happy Birthday and May You Have Many, Many More!
Bottoms up!
Cheers!
Thanks, lotusflower.
It would have been the perfect birthday had it not been for the fact that the site got hacked. Asarrrrr sobra. But we’re back to normal.
Thanks for sharing great information on cooking my wife loves this.
Hi Ms. Connie! I’m gonna buy your Tastebook soon kse I have a debit card na! To save sa shipping costs, I’ll just have it sent to my mom sa San Francisco and if it arrives soon, they can ask my Lola to bring it with her on Dec15 for Christmas vacation sa Manila. If may extra money, I can fly from Iloilo to pick it up and visit her as well. Pero kung naubusan na sa kakabili ng regalo, I can also have them send it thru LBC. Yay!!!! I’m so excited! Finally I can have a recipe book na I can cook every entry! Woohoo!!!
I have a question din po pala. Is it possible to change some of the recipe entries to ones that I like more? Like, I would like to substitute low-fat,down-sized burgers instead of the chicken and mushroom burger. And if ever hindi po pwede, I was thinking I’d order additional pages instead. Does your site have an automatic link or is it possible for me to like browse thru your collections via tastebook? Or is it OK with you if I copy your entries and pics can make my own recipe page via Tastebook? But I think I’d be breaking the ‘NO PART OF THIS ENTRY MAY BE REPRODUCED IN ANY MANNER, whether individually or as part of a collection’. I don’t want to violate anything but I don’t think one tastebook is enough.
Unless you have another tastebook I can order?
Haayyy. I don’t know if you notice but you cook a lot of delicious, very easy to follow and nakaka-adik na recipes. I want po kse sana na glossy, sosyal compilation of your recipes and not just the boring printouts.
Macy, I think you can. You’ll have to check the Tastebook terms though to be sure. In fact, you can add other recipes (max of 100 per Tastebook, I think).
Re another Tastebook. No, but I am coming up with something else — a real book this time.
