Starbucks’ raspberry – flavored blended tea
November 19, 2009 • Hello. I am currently out of the country and unable to respond to comments and e-mails. Rest assured, however, that future posts have been scheduled so new recipes will go live almost everyday during my absence. I'll be back soon with lots of stories and photos. Ciao for now! ~ Connie
When my mother-in-law called up last week to tell us about Ava’s birthday lunch party at Kopi Tiam, she told us to be early because restaurants are often full on Mother’s Day. Yeah, we knew that having been victimized often in the past. It isn’t smart ot just walk into a restaurant on Mother’s Day. It’s always best to make reservations. So we left the house early–so early that we were at my in-laws’ in Quezon City by 10.00 a.m.
Well, it turned out it was going to be a long wait. No one was quite ready to go out to lunch yet. We said we’d go ahead and make reservations at Kopi Tiam and pass by Chocolate Lover on the way for baking supplies. I figured that by the time we were through browsing and shopping at Chocolate Lover, it would be time for lunch. Unfortunately, Chocolate Lover was closed for the day. We were wondering how we’d spend the next two hours when someone mentioned Starbucks. It was cold and drizzling and a hot cup of coffee would be nice. Off we went to Starbucks. Well, no hot coffee–the espresso machine wasn’t working. I wasn’t in the mood for frappuccino so I decided to try their tea for a change. I’m glad I did.
I drink my coffee with sugar and cream but I always drink my tea plain. I do like fruit-flavored tea though. A hot cup of passionfruit flavored tea is always refreshing. I like iced coffee but I’m not a big fan of iced tea. Well, until I tried Starbucks’ raspberry-flavored blended tea. I don’t think I’ll order any of Starbucks’ coffee concoctions ever again.
