Tastebook winners
The contest ended on Friday, November 7, and as scheduled, the winners have been chosen. The two winners will each receive a coupon that will entitle them to a free Tastebook. As I have mentioned, I asked my husband to choose the two comments that touched his heart the most. And I wholeheartedly agree with his choices both of which reflect the intent to empower oneself. Both are about broadening horizons and finding satisfaction and self-fulfillment with one’s handiwork. So, without much ado, the winners:
The first winner is Rachelle Sy, commenter number 77.

And the second winner is Thyme788, commenter number 158.

To the winners, I will be emailing your coupons at 8.00 p.m. tonight, Manila time, roughly 12 hours from now. That’s to give you time to read this post and mind the following:
1. I will e-mail the coupons to the e-mail addresses provided when the comments were posted. I am not going to entertain e-mails claiming they are the real winners and they made a mistake with the e-mail addresses.
2. Please make sure that my e-mail address — sassy(dot)lawyer(at)gmail(dot)com — is in your whitelist.
3. If you’re using a webmail service and the e-mail with the coupon does not land in your inbox, please check the Spam folder.
4. You will have to coordinate with the Tastebook people about shipping charges. If the shipping charges to your location turns out to be more expensive than the Tastebook, I suggest you have the Tastebook shipped to a friend or relative residing in the U.S. and have your friend or relative send the Tastebook to you by mail.
So, that’s it. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy your Tastebook.

Excellent choices! Congratulations both for the winners and to you and your hubby for having achieved the purpose of finding the best answers for the Tastebook Quest!
Congrats to the winners!
Thanks, Crisma. Hubby said wag na daw ulit ako magpapa-contest at dami-dami nyang binasa hahahahaha
Oo nga, hirap yata mag-basa ng ganun karami na comments and being a credible judge afterwards. Super-tiyaga ang hubby mo! Pero if there is something else proven after the contest— yun yung wide reach ng readership ng iyong food blog! For that alone, congratulations Connie! Keep the fire burning!
Salamat, time to cook puto. Request ng bunso.
thank you so much ms. connie and to your husband, too! i can’t wait to get my copy! more power!
“Hubby said wag na daw ulit ako magpapa-contest at dami-dami nyang binasa hahahahaha”
Hahaha! I was actually thinking of that the other day. Buti he was able to find time pa to read all the entries. LOL
Congratulations to the winners! Your hubby did a good job as a judge. (Although siempre, deep inside, I was hoping he would ‘take pity’ on me, the struggling cook in expensive Switzerland. LOL)
All the best.
yey
panalo ako!
congratulations to both winners..galing …
OMG! That’s what I have been missing! That’s what I got for not “visiting” this site for days! wahwah!huhu!…..But not to look so tanga and dramatic……. Congratulations to both of you!
And thanks ate Connie for being a mecca of pinoy cooking…. you really helped and open my mind to alot of unknown dishes, be it simple entertaining or having the whole barangay to your door! God bless parati!
congratulations to the winners
Congratulations to the winners!
Ms Connie, where can I get a copy of the tastebook? Online lang ba?
Christine, yes, online only.
Your husband could not have picked better winners. Both entries were point on re: essence of learning how to cook. So congrats! And congrats to you, your hubby & kids for being such role models of what a family should be- supporting each other’s endeavors and enjoying cooking together as well. Too bad I didn’t win the cookbook, my poor hubby will have to contend with ‘halabos na hipon’ as the only dish in my repertoire. Ha!Ha!Ha!
I tried to buy a copy of your Tastebook plus a cookbook cover yesterday — in vain. There was a problem with the checkout feature.
I don’t know why.
I’ll try again this weekend.
Congrats on your book pala!
