Tortang talong

This is the classic tortang talong recipe. But look out for the tip at the end of the post. If you like this recipe and would like to be even more adventurous, try my tortang utak ng baboy (pig’s brain frittata). No, it’s not one for the Fear Factor. There’s nothing disgusting about the way it looks or smells. Just great food.

  4. Floyd’s Greek stew
  5. Bamboo shoots stir fry
  6. Sauteed ampalaya (bitter gourd / melon) with dried shrimps and eggs
  7. Herbed chicken soup with assorted beans
  8. Banana walnut cake
  9. Cornmeal, finally!
  10. Kalamay (rice cake) sa latik

    Thanks for sharing! Recipe was awesome! I used beef instead of pork and added cheese as recommended. Mabuhay ka!

    Hello po… your tortang talong looks good and I want to try it. Tanong lang po, what kind of cheese should I use? Mozzarella, cheddar, colby jack, american, etc? Thanks and more power!

    Housekeeper, any cheese without a strong smell. Mozzarella, Monterey Jack, Cheddar and Co-Jack are good choices.
