Granite-topped breakfast counter

As with the rest of the kitchen, the breakfast counter has super-easy to clean granite tops.

i miss reading your entries in full. a newborn baby keeps me busy offline.

i’m green w/ envy of your new kitchen! mine is only half the size of yours and poorly laid out for an avid cook. i totally agree w/ your organizational and utilization philosophies, except for the lack of a microwave. i use it heavily for heating leftovers, re-heating sauces and gravies during the holidays, and, most of all, defrosting meat when i forget to thaw it in the fridge the night before (which happens often). besides, my boys would die without instant microwave popcorn =)

off topic, i also have a wordpress-enabled blog. i’m interested in the way you displayed your photos in this entry. mind sharing what add-on/widget/script you used?

    thanks, connie!

Lani, since version 2.5, Wordpress has a built-in photo gallery. That’s what I use.

ms. connie, may i ask where did you buy your granite countertops and breakfast counter, i have been searching the internet for suppliers in the phils. i would like to renovate my mom’s kitchen in Batangas and i’d like to use granite or manufactured quartz stone if available, i am currently in the US and if you don’t mind approximately how much did you spend for your beautiful kitchen. thanks a lot in advance !

  11. Connie says:

alilay, they came with the house. And we really didn’t spend anything except for the additional cabinet, furniture, lighting fixtures and cabinet handles. The renovation was part of the purchase price. I just specified the colors and details.

    love it! beautiful! perfect!
yes kitchen is my place. i can’t wait for mine. me and husband are both architects… and i told him that when we are going back to the philippines for good and we’ll be building our home, he can design the house as long as i design my kitchen. hehehe… yours is just like how i imagine my kitchen. although im not really into mouldings but your kitchen is beautiful.

Good morning Ma’m… My name is Ollie and I am connected with the External Affairs and Relations Office of the Senate of the Philippines.

Ma’m, I am just inquiring whether you conduct FREE cooking demonstrations on special occasion or celebration. Say this coming March 2009, “Women’s Month,” because we are preparing the calendar of activities for the senate employees where they can participate.

May we take this opportunity and invite you to be part of the celebration by conducting a FREE cooking demonstration on March 18, 2009, Wednesday at the Senate of the Philippines?

    Thank you very much po.

For more details on the said request, please, you may reach me at tel. nos. 5526601 locs. 4105-4106 or we can call you (at what number Ma’m?). We can also send you the letter request.

    Again, thank you very much.
